As a tutor I first like to understand a student's learning style. This helps me understand their strengths and weaknesses. I create a learning relationship that students feel open and comfortable to question what they are learning. I believe it is important for students to have the ability to break down word problems into smaller concepts. This helps build confidence. Students need to understand how to ask the correct questions to reach their goals. I have three years of experience tutoring in math and word problem solving. I also have experience tutoring students with homework help. I have lead group study sessions and I provide private tutoring. I am a senior physics major at the University of North Georgia. I have a 3.85 GPA and I believe that is because of hard work and think that is a skill I can help others acquire. I believe in providing goals for students to reach to encourage their development and confidence. I love to learn and to share that enthusiasm with students. It is important to me for students to succeed. Their success makes me feel like an accomplished tutor. It feels great to spread knowledge.
